Well I was hoping it would never come to this, but here we are. Im down to scraping money up to keep the site up and running. I recently bought a house and my car just went out on me. I need your help to keep paying for the cost of this machine and the colo cost. Any amount is fine, but to help motivate you to give a few bucks im gonna be offering email accounts (POP3), that is yourusername@linuxforlesbians.org (I also have a few other domains I can add to your email addy if you like). I am also gonna offer shells, maybe even some cool vhosts for users to IRC from. Well see how it goes.

Amount What you get $0.01 to $4.99 Honerable mention in the donators page for the current month. $5.00 to $9.99 An email alias, yourname@linuxforlesbians.org pointing to your current email address. $10.00 to $14.99 An email POP3 account, yourname@linuxforlesbians.org with POP3 access. All email is stored on the linuxforlesbians.org server, and you set your mail program to check mail there as well. $15.00 to $19.99 5 POP3 accounts and can use any combination of the domains I host on this server. The domains you may use are, linuxforlesbians.org, packet-addiction.org, kryptology.org, thestench.net, negrosecurity.com, pornracket.com and amiterroristornot.com. $20.00 to $24.99 5 POP3 accounts (any domains mentioned above), and webspace as a subdomain of any of the domains mentioned above, ie, http://yourname.linuxforlesbians.org. You will get a system account with FTP ACCESS ONLY (NO SHELL) and you will be able to upload your own files, etc. (10mb disk quota). $25.00 and up 5 POP3 accounts (any domains mentioned above), and webspace as a subdomain of any of the domains mentioned above, ie, http://yourname.linuxforlesbians.org. You will have ftp and shell access (15mb disk quota). You will also have access to vhosts for use on IRC, or whatever purpose that soothes that soul of yours.

Now for some rules:

I will shut down any shell, webspace, email account or alias if I belive there is any form of illegal activities going on.

I will shut down any shell, webspace, etc.. if you are doing anything "unfriendly" to other hosts on the internet (including port scanning, etc..)

No porn, warez, etc.. allowed in your personal webspace. This will suck up to much bandwidth and thus kill the purpose of trying to raise money to pay for the bandwidth this site currently uses.

Email accounts will last forever, or for as long as I can afford to keep the server online.

Webspace and Shell accounts will get 6 months of access for every time the required donation amount it donated. Note, if I can not afford to keep the server online at any certain point your account will be closed. I do not guarantee any sort of service promise and will not offer money back (camon, the purpose is to keep the site up, not have a leeto shell).

All donations will be made through paypal, so I will NEVER handle your billing information.

If you donate enough to get yourself any type of account, when your entering your information via paypal you will be prompted for additional note you may wanna send to me. In that note field, put in your requested username (I will generate a random password for you to use). If you would like me to send you your password information encrypted be sure to specify the location of your GPG/PGP public key so I can load it into my keyring. You can also email me your public key if you wish. Sending you the information encrypted is the PREFERED way to go.

Now for a lil server information. It is a p450, 160mb ram, 6gb HD, FreeBSD 4.4-STABLE and runs Apache 1.3.20, Postfix, Postgresql and my own personal hacked version of VM-POP3D. You will have your choice of shells from, tcsh, csh, zsh, or bash. If you have a special request, let me know and ill look into it.
